18 Purposeful Pecans halves
4 oz dark chocolate (70%), chopped
6 tbsp unsalted butter, diced
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
½ tsp salt
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup chocolate chips
2 to 4 soft caramels, chopped
Procedures:
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare an 8x8 baking pan with butter and flour.
- In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool.
- Whisk in sugar and vanilla until combined. Add eggs one at a time to ensure a smooth mixture. Finally, stir in salt and flour until combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the pan, spread evenly, then layer with caramel.
- Cover with the remaining batter then arrange Purpose Pecans in a heart shape on each brownie.
- Bake for 30-33 minutes.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
